YOUNG LYDIA'S FELLOWSHIP INAUGURATED TO GUIDE, EMPOWER AND STRENGTHEN TEEN AGE GIRLS TO FIND THEIR STRENGTH AND COUNSEL FROM THE LORD AND UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE OF THEIR LIFE
"Clay in the Potter's hand" - theme for this year's Conference
With the impressive knowledge of the young generation and the social hub with which they are connected to the world, we feel that the young energy need to be properly channelized for the growth of the church. With that focus in mind, Rev Mrs Kathiroli Manickam, Chairperson of ECI Lydia Women Fellowship, felt the immediate need to break the grounds in mentoring and discipling the young teenage girls to understand their value in the eyes of God and to affirm that they are precious in the sight of God.
On 15th August, Father Bishop Ezra Sargunam inaugurated Young Lydias Fellowship in which more than thousand girls participated and understood the purpose of their life. It was not just a Conference for teen age girls, but also a time to bring out the leadership qualities and talents of young girls.
The theme for the Conference was "Clay in the Potter's hand" which was emphasized in all the sessions. At the end of the day, participants were able to affirm that they are just a clay in the hands of God. To be made as a useful vessel, they just need to submit themselves into the hands of the potter, our Creator.
We plan to organise this Conference every alternate year to encourage and empower the young girls of our generation. Pray that Young Lydias Fellowship will be started in the other Dioceses in the coming days.
